Alongside our trusted network of suppliers across the UK, we maintain our own on-site wood workshop, meaning we can take care of the details ourselves. From custom manufacturing to bespoke designs, working in house allows us to keep tight control over quality and deadline. For us, it’s about combing expert craftsmanship with the care and attention to detail that defines us as a family business.

Our in-house metal workshop allows us to handle every detail ourselves. From precision-engineered gates and fencing components to complex, bespoke metalwork. We have full control over quality, turnaround and design, meaning we can adapt fast when projects demand something unique. Our metal shop showcases a perfect mix of craftsmanship, capability and the family-run care that defines everything we build.

Our installers all have CSCS cards as standard and, as part of our goal to invest in our employees, regularly complete extra training and certifications as relevant to their role within IPJ. We ensure each of our employees have the tools, training and trade knowledge they need to deliver only the highest quality of work to your site. Our team stands ready to deploy nationwide in our fleet of delivery vehicles, vans and machinery.

Rob, Kelsay, Joe and Ian W – Our dedicated team of directors bring a passion and commitment to the fencing industry that has been instrumental in inspiring and motivating our team for nearly 40 years. Today, we are led by Rob Mckay – Rob first joined us for 2 weeks of work experience in 1997 at the age of 15… and 29 years later he’s still here. Ian Jones took Rob, and brother Joe, under his wing – giving them the opportunity to learn, innovate and perfect their craft. Rob stepped up to become Managing Director, and Joe our logistics director, in 2024.

Kelsay Jones helped husband Ian build I.P. Jones from the ground up, in her role as Finance Director, Kelsay is a champion of the family values that define IPJ and remains an integral part of I.P. Jones Day to day operations and long-term strategy.

Finally, Our Commercial Director Ian Waring combines a deep passion for the fencing industry with a keen eye for detail that brings a level of professionalism to IPJ’s day to day commercial operations.

At I.P. Jones we understand the importance of having the right tools for the job, allowing every job our installers tackle to be handled efficiently. We own and maintain a fleet of over 13 excavators ranging from 1 ½ to 13 tonne machines as well as a range of specialist equipment, allowed us to be versatile, work in rough terrain and handle jobs that other contractors aren’t equipped to handle. Today, our fleet ranges from tracked dumpers and vacuum-excavators to small telescopic handlers and large telehandlers.
