Sustainability and Environmental responsibility are a key focus for I.P. Jones going into 2026 and beyond.
We understand the importance of having sustainable practices at every step of our process. From securing our supply chains to responsible practices in the office.
Health and Safety Manager Lynne and Accounts Manager Laura have taken on the responsibility of leading the company in our sustainable commitments and reducing IPJ’s environmental impact. Eager to learn more about what we can do, within the construction industry, to be more environmentally conscious, in September 2025 they attended a Sustainability Summit for the Supply Chain School where they listened to talks by industry specialists and gained valuable insights.
Now, building on these insights, they have developed and launched I.P. Jones ‘dedicated sustainability plan’ and begun carbon accounting in partnership with Sumday. We are currently refining our carbon data to ensure accurate reporting, which will enable us to set meaningful reduction targets in the near future.
Alongside this, we are also working with our current customers to provide detailed reports outlining our timber use per site and other key elements of our carbon footprint for specific jobs. This helps to inform responsible decision making for us and our customers as well as creating a guide to what we may need to monitor and improve within our own operations going forward.
We’re eager to continue to learn and implement these sustainable changes at every level of our business.
