I.P. Jones is proud to be playing a role in the £36 million regeneration of Leyland town centre as part of the Leyland Town Deal. Working with Eric Wright Construction, we were appointed to supply and install secure hoarding around the redevelopment site in the heart of the town.

The Challenge

Installing hoarding in a busy urban environment presents a specific set of challenges. Restricted space, public interfaces, underground services, and the risk of cable strikes all limit traditional dug-in solutions. Stability, safety, and speed of installation were critical requirements for this project, while disruption to the surrounding area needed to be kept to an absolute minimum.

The Solution

To meet these challenges, Eric Wright opted for our in-house designed Environ Hoard system. This hoarding solution is specifically engineered for sites where traditional dug-in systems are impractical or high-risk.

The Environ Hoard system is stable, quick to install, completely reusable, utilising concrete ballast weights rather than dug-in posts for stability. The use of ballast blocks removes the need to break ground, making it an ideal solution for town centre environments where buried services are common and site logistics are constrained.

Bespoke Design & Engineering

As with every Environ Hoard installation, the system was tailored specifically to the requirements of this site. Our Contracts Managers carried out detailed calculations to ensure the hoarding meets the required wind-loadings and site layout unique to the Leyland town centre location.

This bespoke approach ensures that each installation delivers maximum stability and compliance without over-engineering or unnecessary material use, keeping installation efficient and cost-effective.
