Over the last few years I.P. Jones has played in instrumental role in the creation of the second home of Lancashire Cricket in Farington, Leyland. The sleek, modern multi-million-pound site offers an elite training facility to one of England’s top cricket teams, as well as being designated a Women’s centre of excellence for the Northwest of England. Working closely with the principal contractor, Eric Wright, IPJ provided a complete fencing package for the ground, from securing the site during construction to the final aesthetic touches.

The Challenge

The client wanted a sleek, modern look for the main building, working with the terrain to fit seamlessly into the surroundings. The site required constant pedestrian and vehicular access both during construction and as part of the final build as well other smaller fences and features around the site tying the aesthetic together. Further, the client wanted a distraction free, calm training area for the team to hone and develop their skills.

The Solution

Firstly, we provided Hoarding and temporary fencing around the site during construction, creating a safe, controlled perimeter for works to take place. This also included built in pedestrian and vehicular access gates as well as crowd control barriers and branded panels.

The entrance and surrounding support structures also included a range of fencing solutions from road access barriers to post and rail fencing – providing a cohesive and tidy finish for the site.

We provided the main building with a sleek, stone finish using Gabion building cladding and gabion basket retainers that flow effortlessly together, delivering a robust design that sits seamlessly into the surrounding terrain.

The site was completed with a training pitch for the team, We installed a 5 meter high acoustic fence and mesh fencing to create a noise and distraction free area for the team to hone their skills.
